PUT A RING ON IT
In the Fall of 2019 artist duo Vicky Ng and Stephanie Lee submitted a proposal for the 2019 Clockenflap Open Call surrounding the topic of SCALE. Their proposed idea consisted of taking all of the elements of childhood games and upgrading them to the present. Combining games like the ring toss, bozo the clown, and beach inner tubes, the duo created an interactive installation and game much like the classic and beloved ring toss but scaled up tenfold.
In this reimagined proposal, Stephanie examines the cooler elements of this game, highlighting the modernity and the upgraded design aesthetic that brings the nostalgia into the twenty first century.
