absent paradigms

The work is a story about unrequited love in a cyborg age. Presented at the master of fine arts graduate show in the summer of 2018, Absent Paradigms is an immersive experience of the cybernetic romance. Audiences are put on an individual situation with headphone sets on. A female voice will gently take them through a walk on campus. By following her footsteps, the audience experiences an intimate relationship with the virtual voice. They then are taken to a private installation space where the story of absent paradigms is fully unfolded. The voice recounts the memories tied to the objects, drawings, and photographs placed across the space.
